A club run by the members for the members
We are a Private members club that was formed in 1971.
Ockbrook Gun Club is owned and run by all its members, therefore we can offer shooting in a friendly and safe environment at greatly reduced price for entry fees and cartridges compared to commercially run shooting grounds. All our members & guests are also covered for 3rd party and personal accident insurance when shooting at the clubs shooting ground. (subject to insurers conditions)
Membership is open to all ages; there is no minimum age to go shooting (providing the young person can handle a gun safely it's not a problem) any person under the age of 15 is allowed to use a shotgun providing they are supervised by a person over the age of 21.
Because the club hold a Section 11(6) of the Firearms Act exemption certificate that allows non certificate holders to shoot at our club you don't even have to have a Shotgun Certificate to come shooting.
All our shoots are declared 'Safe to shoot' by our CPSA Registered Safety Officers before shooting can begin.
Our clubs shoots have our own classification system that's updated after each shoot, prizes are awarded to High Gun, A, B, C and Colts and prizes for guests.
Subject to the number of entries for each class Whether you are new to shooting or an experienced shot why not contact our Secretary, to arrange to come and shoot with us and find out more about the club.
